Enriqua is a Speech-Language Pathologist who has specialized in Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) for over 11 years. Enriqua’s passion is to empower through communication and works to achieve this with the use of technology. She has experience working with children (three-years-old and older) and adults. She has worked for the New York City Center for Assistive Technology. Enriqua has experience in private practice and school systems, lending her consultative expertise to a myriad of families and professionals. Over the years, she has led talks and hands-on workshops on the implementation of Instructional Technology, Assistive Technology, and Augmentative Alternative Communication to her colleagues and the general public.
A Speech-Language Pathologist whose profession has spanned for over twenty years working for the New York City Department of Education and Early Intervention settings working with children classified as Speech and Language Impaired, Intellectually Disabled, Learning Disabled, Multiply Disabled, Hearing Impaired, and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder. She aims to discern a client’s communicative potential and how this potential can best be met via various methodologies including traditional and evidence-based approaches. She has formed part of various assessment teams including in the Committee on Special Education, the Central Speech Evaluation Team, and the Center for Assistive Technology.
